Learned something about possums. The reason you see them dead on the roads is because they eat road kill. They have a great sense of smell, but can't hear or see well. Can't smell a car coming!

After the aquarium and Civil War Museum, we took the 45 minute cruise out to Fort Sumter.

We noticed this smurf football that had washed up under the walkway on our way to the Aquarium. On the way back, Austin climbed down and retrieved it.

Our other football that we used in the pool ended up in pieces. (long story) Now we have a new one. Well, not for long. While waiting for the ferry, the boys played with our new football. Long story short, it ended up back in the water and it was in an area where we couldn't retrieve it.

Wednesday night we took the trolley to Shem Creek for dinner in a really cool area on the water.

On the move

We left our anchorage Friday morning and headed for Isle of Palms Marina, where our good friend from Key West, Bil Krauss, was going to play Friday night. It was great to see Bil again and see his show. After he finished, he came over to September Song for a drink and catch up. (musicians are night owls) See you in Key Weird Bil!
Saturday morning we headed to Charleston where we planned to stay for the rest of the trip with the boys.
There are lots of things to do and see here in Charleston, and a bonus is that the marina has a pool. Tomorrow, we are headed to the aquarium and take the ferry to Fort Sumter where the first shot of the Civil War was fired.
