Season is in full swing

Season is in full swing now that we are through the holidays. Many of our cruising friends are here, including the seagulls and pelicans, the weather has been in the low 80's and gorgeous, and all our playgrounds are open.
With golf, trips to Key West, dock parties, all the fun places here in Marathon, and fitting in some of the things I want to get done on September Song before we head to the Islands, it's hard to find time to slow down, and sit down and blog. Yesterday, a group of us went down to Key West for a wing fix at Schooners Wharf and a fantastic night of music and dancing at the Smokin' Tuna. One of our favorite bands, The Massacoustics, come down once a year, and they are great. It was a late night, so today we are taking the day off (giving our livers a rest) and I thought it would be a good time for you to catch up with us.

Our good friend Norm, (Tide Hiker) and his friend Roger, were on their way to Key West on their motorcycles and spent the night with us.

After breakfast at the Stuffed Pig, two more friends of Norm's came in on their motorcycles and they all headed to the Key West playground.

My team came in at three under. The last team was on 18 with a six foot putt to tie us. They choked and my team won again!

We were treated to another beautiful sunset at happy hour(s) after golf at Cabana Breezes.

Our new cruising friends, Wytie and Sally, joined us for prime rib night at Sparky's Landing and a great night of music with John Bartus.

They shot a music video while we were there. Way cool!

My daughter, Patti, on the left, and her friend Jennifer, drove down for a short visit after their Birthday cruise. They were both born on the same day in the same hospital.

If you remember, Patti spent some time in the Abacos with us. The "Bahama Bums" who were with us while Patti was in the Abacos, came to September Song for a Patti party. It was great that she got to see them all again. Pam, AKA the jello shot queen, brought back memories from the Islands with her jello shots.

'Remember these Patti"?
"Oh yes, I remember"! This is a shot of Patti in the Abacos

We couldn't pass up a chance to take them to the Keys Fisheries for stone crab claws, oysters, and sunset.

Jennifer's first taste of oysters. Darn! I should have taken a couple of cigars. I know, I'm so bad!

Are you going to share with Pam, Stephen? AKA stone crab piggy.

The Massacoustics at the Smokin' Tuna. What a great band!

She was on cruches, but before the night was over, she laid them down and she was dancing.

Lots of dancing to the Massacoustics.

Fun with my best friend!

When the Massacoustics are playing, you can't quit dancing, even at the table.

Can't go to Key West without stopping at Schooners for the best wings and music.

Can't pass up FREE!

How many beers did you have William? He stacks them so he can keep track.

I've got to get one of these t-shirts!

Our favorite waitress, Beth.

If I didn't know better, I would have thought Nancy was here.

You know Therese is having fun when she says "it's all good".
