SURPRISE SURPRISE!
We arrived back in Marathon early in the afternoon on New Years Day, Washed the salt off September Song from our wet ride back, and joined in on the New Years Day dock party pot luck. We were sitting at the table eating when we heard some familiar voices from behind the bushes. OMG! OMG! It was our great friends Jay and Nancy. They tried to get here in time to be waiting at the dock to catch our lines, but we got back from Key West early, but it was still a great surprise, and they are going to be here until Sunday.
More about our play time in the next couple blogs.

Bahama Bums
Thursday night we had most of the Bahama Bums over on September Song for my famous lasagna. Well, Stephanie was great as usual, and did most of it while I put together a slide show of last winter in Marathon and our Bahamas trip. What a fun night with good friends and great memories.

A night at Salty's
A group of about twenty of us headed to Salty's for music by our musician friend, Adrienne. She plays there every other Friday Night. Cruising friends, Steve and Polly, (CLAY LADY) who we haven't see in about four years, just got in and joined us. You never know when paths will cross on the water, but they usually do. Jay and Nancy were with us also, and Jay is still going strong. I think this trip down to Marathon has done him a world of good.

Key West and Peter Mayer
Eight of us, including you guessed it, Jay and Nancy. (We needed to play as much as possible during the short time they are here) headed down to Key West for a little play time at Schooners Wharf and a Peter Mayer Concert. Peter is Jimmy Buffet's lead guitarist and puts on a great show. It was extra special because our friend, Scott Kirby, played a set with him. Have I told you, "we love Key West".

Jay has been on a feeding tube for a while now and still is. This bowl of clam chowder is some of the first real food he has had. Leave it to Key West!
