Early evening, we went to the Smokin' Tuna to see another musician friend, Scott Kirby, play.

We made one late night stop before heading back to the boat at Irish Kevin's. Not too many days go by in Key West without someone showing their boobs. Sorry guys, I had to crop it to keep my blog PG. viewings of the unedited available on September Song.

What people will do for a shot and how they get it.

On the way back to the boat we had to stop for a street hot dog. Soak up some of that liquid.

Breakfast before exploring at La Creperie.

The beginning and the end of US 1.

Didn't make it to the southern most point, (long story and a long walk) so we found a replica of it. Does that count?

The first and original Sloppy Joes.

If you go there, look for our boat card on the post at the bar.

It's right there!

One of our favorite spots is at the bar on the street at Rick's to have a couple and people watch.

Remember, I said you can't get through a day in Key West without seeing some bare boobs. Sorry guys, had to crop it. This was at Schooners Wharf. This just doesn't happen at Schooners! Well, never say never.

I don't know this lady, but she was enjoying her cigar, and it was a big one!

Eric and Rob have never eaten oysters before, so we had to make a stop at our favorite oyster bar, The Half Shell, for happy hour.

Well, I think they will be eating a lot more of them in the future.

Can't take newbies to Key West without a trip to Mallory Squire for sunset and to see the crazies perform.

Poor Rose Bud has worked for many years and is getting old.

Sunset at Mallory Square.

Has this guy ever looked in the mirror?

OK, it's their last night in Key West, so I asked them where they would like to go back to. It was unanimous, Irish Kevin's. Stephanie hung with us till around ten, then went back to the boat leaving the three of us to play, and play we did.

I don't know who she was, but she was at the table ahead of us. She loved Eric and Rob. Can you say Fire Ball shots. Only for so long, then you call them fir ball sots.

No good can come of this, but what fun we had. After a fun night and a drink spilled in my lap, it was time to go back to the boat. I know we are walking, but this could also be a problem.

Rob and Eric had so much fun that I sent them back to the boat in a pedicab.

At 07:00 it was time to cast of the lines and say goodbye to Key West. This is the sunrise as we headed out the inlet. I still want to know why, if you are going out the inlet, why don't you call it an outlet.

Quiet crew on the way back to Marathon.

Eric and Rob will be joining us in the Islands for a few days, so I put a temporary tat of the most famous bar in the Islands, Nippers. When they arrived on Tuesday, they brought a fabulously delicious orange cake. How are they going to get my red velvet cake to the Islands?
SEE YOU IN THE ISLANDS MON!

The morning they left, we went to another one of our favorites, The Stuffed Pig for breakfast.

Friends from the South

Our good friends Bil (also a musician in KW) and Elizabeth Krauss drove up from Key West to spend a couple of days with us on September Song and celebrate their thirteenth anniversary. What a fun time we had with them. All our cruising friends helped them celebrate their first night here cruisers style. We had a dock party and Bil played for us. The next morning, we cast off the lines and went for a day cruise. Steve and Kim (Maya) joined us.

Happy hour on the fly bridge.

A little claw fight at the Keys Fisheries.

This is the back of Bil's head.

I don't know who she is, but she looks like Bil from behind.

Bil is known for his rubber chickens. If you have been to his show in Key West, you would know why.
Well, he brought us a rubber chicken for September Song. All our cruising friends here signed it. Now "Chuckie Chicken" will be traveling with us and you will see him in many places. When you come aboard, make sure you sign Chuckie.

Champagne toast on the bow.

Chuckie doesn't look too happy! Don't worry, Chuckie, Be happy!

Chuckie, in the Admiral's seat.
