Yes! Snapper for dinner

Today we went to the fishing hole. I think the fish were hungry. We went through 16 dozen shrimp! We caught three kinds of snapper, grouper, jack, eel, pig fish, yellow fin, and some other fish we couldn't identify. On a scale of 1 to 10 it was about a 12. Tonight Stephanie sauteed snapper in butter and wine sauce. Nothing quite as good as fresh caught snapper, especially the way Stephanie prepares it. After I cleaned the fish we relaxed on the aft deck with a cool drink. Pinch me, I think I'm dreaming.
We finished the day with cocktails on the front deck and were treated to another beautiful sunset, shell horns and the GREEN FLASH. This is something you only see a few times in your life. For those of you who don't know what a green flash is, it's a flash of bright green just as the last part of the sun disappears on the horizon. It only lasts for about a second, but it is something to see. What a day!

The happy fisherman

This is what happens to the fish you are reeling in when a bigger fish tries to eat it. That was a 13 inch Snapper. how big do you think the other fish was?

We ate this one for supper
