The first two pictures were taken this summer and the second two were taken today as we traveled to our anchorage. As we traveled North this summer, we saw hundreds of osprey nests with babies and the adults fishing like crazy to keep them fed. Now that we have the pointy end South, the nests are empty, waiting for spring when the osprey return, rebuild their nests, start a new family, and do it all over again without anyone telling them how or when to do it. Nature is so amazing!
