On the Chesapeake with the pointy end pointed South on a not so clear, but calm day.

We left Kilmarnock this morning and we are out on the Chesapeake again on a clear blue day, but not so smooth. Just the reverse of yesterday. We are headed to Windmill Cove just off the Ware River where we are going to anchor out, catch som...See More
A big happy birthday from all your admirers, Bob! Have a wonderful day!
I woke up today (that's always a good thing when that happens) and found a new pair of sunglasses waiting for me. How do they look?
What a fun Birthday! Steak and mahi on the grill and Stephanie's fabulous Bahamian mac and cheese. Good drinks, great friends, and red velvet cake, My favorite. Made a wish, blew out the candles and got my wish. What was the wish you say? To be surrounded by beautiful women on my Birthday. Especially the one on my far left. Love you honey and thanks for making my birthday and my life so special. Actually, I got my wish years ago and she makes them come true every day of our lives together. Being surrounded by beautiful ladies wasn't all bad either. Also, thanks for all the wonderful e-mails and posts from the hundreds of my friends and family. Well, maybe not hundreds, but there were a lot! The massive gifts were great too.  Say good night Bob! Not good, but a great night! Good night Bob!
It's great getting birthday wishes!
We are anchored at one of our favorite stops on the Chesapeake, St. Michaels, MD, home of the Maritime museum. Beautiful old boats, historic homes, shopping, late lunch and a couple of orange crushes with my best friend, and a gorgeous sunset. Great day! Off to Kent Island tomorrow.

We are all alone at anchor on the beautiful Wye River. After a fun day of exploring in the tender, play time at the beach, Godiva's usual roll in the sand with her ball, Cassie chasing her favorite toy and playtime for both of them in the water, it's time for a relaxing evening for the crew of September Song on the aft deck with our new favorite drink, orange crush. Pinch me!
Got a lot done today. She is looking beautiful. Splash tomorrow. YIPPEE! Cassie and Godiva are going to miss all their friends at Washburns Boat Yard and hanging out in the office greeting everyone who comes in, but we will all be happy to be back home on September Song. I think I said that yesterday, but we are really ready to check out of this motel and be back home and cruising. (4 photos)
Cassie and Godiva say they like this bed in the motel room, but miss being home on September Song.

September Song is on the hard and we are land lubbers for the next four days while she gets pampered at Washburns Boatyard. Half Note (the family car) was in the water and had to be hauled out for service. Sure was funny to see her in a 25 ton lift. We haven't been off the boat overnight since the last time September Song was hauled two years ago. It's going to seem weird! (4 photos)

We always hold our breath while September Song is put in the slings, moved to the water, and splashed. She's back in the water and we are back home again.

Beautiful double rainbow after a rain storm at the boatyard in Solomons, MD. Forecast for tomorrow is great so we are casting off the lines and head out to one of our favorite anchorages on the Wye River for a couple of days for a little exploring in the tender, play time at the beach for the girls, and catch a bucket of blue crab off the back of September Song. I see Stephanie's delicious crab cakes in my future.

Cassie and Godiva here. Mom and Dad took us for a ride in the car, a real car not the tender, to a really cool dog spa. We got a bath, rub down, brushed, and some really good treats for being so good. We smell kinda funny! From there, we ro...See More

Today is September Song's Birthday. She arrived in the US July 14th 2007 after a year and a half construction. I'll never forget how excited we were that day! She has been a great ship, taking us to so many wonderful places and given us so many fabulous experiences with many more to come. Happy Birthday September Song!

What do you do on a hot afternoon at anchor. Float around off the back of September Song. Cassie and Godiva love it, but there is only one problem. Godiva has two torn ACL's and the vet said she is too old (thirteen and a half) for surgery.
